About me

Hi, I'm Sammi
DSFH, HPD, MNCH(reg), AfSFH, CNHC (reg) (more on that later)
I am a fully qualified Solution-Focused Therapist, Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist, with additional specialist training in menopause hypnotherapy, ADHD, grief, sleep, somatic awareness and men's resilience.
My approach is built on a layered understanding of the mind-body connection. I trained in mindfulness and meditation in 2010, focusing on emotional regulation and present-moment awareness — early work that taught me something important: lasting change doesn't happen through force, it happens through safety, understanding and repetition.
These foundations led me to study neuroscience and qualify as a Clinical Hypnotherapist, Psychotherapist and Solution-Focused Therapist — bringing together an evidence-based, brain-led approach with a practical understanding of how the nervous system works.
Today, I blend neuroscience, hypnotherapy, mindfulness and solution-focused therapy to help teenagers and adults move out of survival mode and back into clarity, confidence and control. Alongside one-to-one work, I deliver brain education workshops for schools, corporates and community groups, helping people understand how their brain works as the foundation for lasting change.
My work is calm, practical and grounded in both science and experience. Clients often tell me they feel understood, settled and clearer after sessions. My role is not to fix you, but to help you understand your brain, regulate your nervous system and rebuild emotional strength in a way that feels safe and achievable.
Why Solution Focused Hypnotherapy
I believe we should all have the freedom to decide and become who we want to be, and I am passionate about helping clients unlock their potential and achieve meaningful change.
I know what it is like to feel stuck, anxious and overwhelmed. I have been there myself as I have navigated my way through a rich tapestry of experiences in life's up and downs. These experiences, along with my therapeutic learnings and studies, have led me to Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH).
SFH is a solution and future-focused therapy. It uses current neuroscience alongside talking therapy and relaxation using techniques such as CBT and NLP along with Hypnotherapy and Relaxation. It is also backed up by published research studies.
Many clients describe their experience as a 'massage for your mind'. This Solution Focused Hypnotherapy approach is used to support relaxation, improve wellbeing and help people manage stress, sleep difficulties and more.
I specialise in working with teenagers and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, sleep problems, grief, low confidence, low self-esteem, school and exam anxiety, and menopause-related challenges. I work collaboratively with each client to explore what matters most to them
I am ADHD trained with a strong understanding of how the ADHD brain works differently. I have completed further specialist CPD training in grief, somatic awareness (SomaSense), sleep (Hypnosomnia) and men's resilience - bringing a broader, more attuned toolkit to every session.
